MoU signed,deployment ban for “skilled workers” to be lifted

Philippine Embassy in Kuwait — On Thursday, I attended the Filipino community meeting with Labor Sec. Silvestre Bello lll and presidential spokesperson Sec. Harry Roque. As per Sec. Bello, the memorandum of understanding will be signed on Friday, 11 May 2018.

He added that he has the go signal of President Duterte to lift the deployment ban of “skilled workers” to Kuwait.

“Tumuloy kami rito para lagdaan ang MoU (memorandum of understanding), ay i lilift na yong ban for skilled worker, says Bello during his talk with the Filipino community at the POLO office, Philippine Embassy.

Meanwhile, the lifting of the ban for domestic workers “still to study”. They’re still hammering a unified contract for domestic workers.

The announcement of lifting the deployment ban for skilled workers will be after his return back to the Philippines.

Meanwhile, on Friday, the MoU was signed on Friday as mentioned by Sec Bello.
